After a long day at work, I had craving for a comforting bowl of noodles and here I come to L32 Ban Mian! Ban Mian is a chinese handmade noodles which currently sold in stalls are mostly factory made. I am a frequent patron of L32 Ban Mian for the past 10 years as it ranks as the ”perfect” ban mian to me and I also love the rustic feel of having my meal watching the busy Geylang road. L32 Ban Mian make their own noodles which is served in a bowl of savoury sweet broth that must had been boiled for hours!

What brings me back is how their smooth and springy handmade noodles amazingly absorbs all the goodness into it (Drools!). My order was Pork Ban Mian Soup at $4.60 which is really value for money and a well balanced diet, the bowl comes with generous serving of sliced and minced pork, chye sim, crunchy ikan bilis and a beautiful egg dropped into the soup. The pork is well marinated with no pork smell as CHAR SIEW do not like pork smell and their ikan bilis is very crunchy and fragrant , try chewing it with your noodles in your mouth and you know what I mean, it elevates the taste of the ban mian! And one thing worth mentioning is they do have good chilli and they are known for their dry ban mian due to their awesome chilli.

They have a variety of different choices of ban mian, from pork, chicken, clam, prawn, fish, fish head which cost $4.60 -7.30 . Add-ons like Sze chuan veg and Mala sauce is also available. Let us know if you like soup or dry version of their Ban Mian?

Warning: the wait can be rather long took me 40 mins before to have 1 bowl of my favourite noodles. Tip is to go during off peak hours.
